Department of Public Relations and Communication

This department manages the interface between the Court and the public. It disseminates official court statements, rulings, and public announcements. It organises public outreach activities, promotes legal awareness, and ensures accurate representation of the judiciary in the media. It maintains the Supreme Court’s official website and also runs and maintains the Court’s social media platforms, including X (formerly Twitter) and Facebook. By enhancing transparency and public understanding, the department reinforces the legitimacy of judicial decisions and the institution as a whole.

The purpose of the Communications and Media Department is to serve as the primary conduit between the Supreme Court and its stakeholders, including the public, media, government entities, and international organizations. The department is tasked with developing and implementing comprehensive communication strategies that promote transparency, enhance public understanding of the judiciary’s role, and foster trust in the legal system.
